Ingredients
- Potatoes - 2 medium sized, cooked and mashed
- Bengalgram flour / Besan – 1 cup
- Green Chillies - 2
- Coriander leaves – 3 tsp chopped
- Curry leaves – 4 to 5
- Red chilly powder – 1tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Pinch of Asafoetida
- Ginger – 1/4 tsp
- Pinch of Cumin seed powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Method
- Add mashed potatoes, chopped green chillies, red chilly powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, chopped ginger,salt, curry and coriander leaves. Mix well
- Make lemon size balls and keep aside
- Add little water, little red chilly powder and salt to gram flour/besan and make a thick batter
- Heat oil in a pan, dip potato balls in gram flour batter and drop them in oil
- deep fry till they turn golden brown
- Serve hot with ketch up or chutney
