Ingredients
- Raw Banana / Balekai – 2
- Gram Flour – 1/2 cup
- Rice Flour – 1 tsp
- Red Chilly Powder – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida/Hing – pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Method
- Peel of the fibre from banana skin. Cut into 1/2cm thick and long slices. Keep them immersed in buttermilk
- Mix gram flour,rice flour,red chilly powder, asafoetida and salt. Add water and prepare a thick paste
- Coat this paste over banana slices. Meantime heat oil in medium flame
- Drop them into oil and deep fry till they turn golden brown
- Serve hot with ketchup or chilly/mint chutney
